Who controls your information

Marnie Danson trading as Dorset Division is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and direct client enquiries. Contact: marnie@dorsetdivision.co.uk. Postal address: 71 Darbys Lane, Oakdale, Poole, Dorset, BH15 3EU, United Kingdom.

Information collected

Depending on how you contact or work with me, this may include your name, business name, email address, correspondence, project details, invoices and transaction records, and information you choose to provide. Technical and cookie information depends on the actual website hosting, security and analytics configuration.

Why information is used

I use information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, provide contracted services, administer projects, keep business and accounting records, protect the website and comply with legal obligations. Where applicable, lawful bases include steps towards a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests and legal obligations. Consent is used where legally required.

Sharing and processors

Information may be shared where necessary with hosting, email, accounting, payment and other service providers used to run the business, or with authorities where legally required. I do not sell personal information. Service providers and international transfers must be assessed and appropriate safeguards applied where required.

Retention

Enquiries are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose. Client and financial records may be retained for applicable tax, accounting, contractual and legal requirements. A detailed retention schedule should be finalised against the systems actually used.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, request portability and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact me to exercise your rights. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Website forms

The current Services & Prices enquiry form prepares an email in your own email application; it does not submit the enquiry to a Dorset Division server. Once you send that email, the correspondence is handled through the relevant email services.

Marketing

I will not add you to promotional email lists without an appropriate lawful basis and any consent required by applicable electronic marketing rules. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

Policy updates

This notice may be updated when business processes, service providers or website functionality change. Material changes should be reflected on this page.
