Deposits & Payments

Draft prepared 12 October 2026 · Review before publishing

Before work begins

For fixed-price projects, a deposit or first-stage payment may be required before work is scheduled or started. The amount and due date will be confirmed in your written quote or invoice; no single deposit percentage applies automatically to every project.

What your payment covers

Deposits are credited towards the agreed project price. A deposit may reserve project time and cover agreed initial planning or work. Whether any amount is refundable depends on the circumstances, work performed, costs reasonably incurred, your statutory rights and the agreed contract — it is not automatically forfeited.

Milestones and final payment

Larger projects may be split into staged payments linked to clearly identified milestones. The agreed schedule will appear in your proposal or invoice. Final deliverables, transfers or launches may be conditional on payment where lawful and expressly agreed.

Extra work and expenses

Requests beyond the agreed scope will be quoted or approved before additional charges are incurred. Domains, hosting, subscriptions, advertising budgets, printing, stock licences and other third-party costs are separate unless specifically included.

Late payment

If an invoice becomes overdue, I will contact you and may pause future work after reasonable notice, subject to our agreement and applicable law. Any interest or recovery charges will be applied only where lawful and properly notified.

Consumer protections

Nothing in this policy removes consumer cancellation rights, statutory remedies or other protections under applicable law. Please read Cancellations & Refunds before commissioning services.
