01 / The story

Good work deserves
to be seen.

Little Leaps supports children's early development through inclusive sport, movement and play in Wigan. Its existing sponsorship materials contained the right information, but they weren't making the impact — or the opportunity for local businesses — clear enough.

The brief became more than a visual refresh: reshape the offer, bring forward the evidence, build practical campaign materials and take them to carefully researched potential sponsors.

02 / The challenge

From information
to invitation.

The original 10-page pack was heavy on text. Important impact figures were hidden in paragraphs, the visual hierarchy was limited, and the minimum sponsorship contribution started at £250.

For a small local business, that was a substantial first step. I wanted the offer to be immediate, credible and flexible — with a clear answer to what a contribution would fund and why it mattered.

03 / My approach

Not just a prettier document.
A better proposition.

I worked across positioning, copy, visual design, sponsorship structure, local business research and personalised outreach. Each part needed to strengthen the next.

01 / POSITIONING

Make the impact visible

Lead with the children, the community and the evidence — not a wall of text.

02 / ACCESSIBILITY

Open the door wider

Build a six-level sponsorship ladder starting at £50, rather than £250.

03 / RELEVANCE

Reach the right businesses

Research local connections and tailor every approach rather than send blanket requests.

04 / The transformation

See the difference.

I rebuilt the original 10-page document into a bright, branded eight-page sponsorship pack using Little Leaps' blue and orange identity, real photography, clear impact figures and sponsor-focused calls to action.

05 / Sponsorship architecture

Six ways to make
a difference.

The sponsorship ladder was designed so businesses of different sizes could see a realistic route to helping local children.

£50Supporter
£100Community Supporter
£250Bronze Partner
£500Silver Partner
£1,000Gold Partner
£2,000+Community Champion

Each level explained what support could fund and what recognition the sponsoring business would receive. A Gold Partner could support a 13-week term of free sessions for a nominated nursery or early-years setting.

06 / Targeted campaign

One clear need.
Four clear options.

The full sponsorship pack was supported by a focused flyer for the Saturday 5–8s community session, which costs approximately £50 per week to run.

£50 for one week. £200 for a month. £600 for a term. £2,400 for a full year as headline sponsor.

Rather than asking vaguely for support, the campaign showed businesses precisely what their contribution could make possible.

07 / Research & outreach

The right message.
To the right people.

I researched local Wigan businesses and community funding routes, looking at grassroots sport involvement, family and community links, and social-value potential.

Then I wrote and sent individual approaches on Little Leaps' behalf. The outreach to SVR Plastics referenced its grassroots sports support; the approach to Greenmount Projects focused on local community partnership.

The point was not volume. It was relevance — giving each business a genuine reason to consider getting involved.

08 / The evidence

Materials built.
Outreach delivered.

What began as a ten-page information document became a coordinated sponsorship proposition: an eight-page branded pack, six sponsorship levels, a targeted fundraising flyer, researched prospects and personalised outreach.

Following the sponsorship work, Little Leaps announced its first sponsored session. That announcement is documented in the original case study; it does not establish which particular outreach secured the sponsorship.

09 / What this project demonstrates

Strategy is only useful
when it becomes action.

This project brought together sponsorship positioning, business research, copywriting, campaign design and direct outreach. The strategy shaped the materials. The materials gave the outreach substance. The research made the conversations relevant.
