Ideas. Plans. Action.

STRATEGY
MEETS
REALITY.

A good idea is a starting point. Making it work is where experience matters.

Not every business problem has an obvious answer. Sometimes the issue is technical. Sometimes it's commercial. Sometimes the thing you've been trying to fix isn't actually what's causing the problem.

I bring together research, business judgement and hands-on digital experience to understand what's happening, identify what makes sense and turn the right approach into practical work.

Because a strategy that can't be delivered isn't much use to anyone.

Where I can make a difference

The right work starts with understanding the real problem.

You don't need to diagnose the issue yourself or know which service to book.

You might be testing a new business idea, dealing with an underperforming website, trying to untangle an ecommerce problem or looking for someone to take a project from concept to completion.

Rather than forcing everything into a predefined package, I look at the situation and draw on the skills it actually requires.

01 / CLARITY

Before you invest time and money.

Business research, competitor analysis, commercial planning and feasibility work that help establish whether an idea is worth pursuing, what the opportunities are and where the risks lie.

02 / CREATION

When the idea needs to become something real.

Website design and development, ecommerce, branding, publishing and digital projects. Not just deciding what should exist, but building it and making sure it works.

03 / PROBLEM-SOLVING

When something isn't doing what it should.

Technical faults, disconnected systems, ecommerce issues, product data, inefficient processes and the details that create bigger problems than anyone expected. Investigate the cause before choosing the fix.

04 / MOMENTUM

When a project needs someone to move it forward.

Marketing support, content, outreach, digital administration and ongoing project work. Practical involvement that keeps the work progressing instead of adding another unfinished plan to the pile.

From first conversation to delivery

A clear process. Without making everything a process.

I don't believe in creating unnecessary stages just to make a project look more complicated.

Some jobs need detailed investigation and planning. Others are straightforward once someone with the right experience looks at them.

The approach should fit the work, not the other way around.

01

Start with the actual situation.

Tell me what you're trying to achieve, what's happening now and where you're getting stuck. I'll ask questions, look at the context and establish what needs attention.

02

Investigate what matters.

Where necessary, I'll examine the systems, research the market, assess the options or review what's already been done. The aim is to understand the cause and implications, not jump straight to the first available solution.

03

Agree on a sensible way forward.

I'll explain what I recommend, why I recommend it and what's involved. We'll establish the scope, costs, deliverables and expectations before the work begins.

04

Turn the decision into action.

Once we've agreed, I carry out the work, communicate as it progresses and deal with the practical details. The objective is a completed deliverable, a resolved issue or meaningful progress towards the agreed outcome.

Why Dorset Division

Thinking is important. Execution is where it gets tested.

I've seen how easily a seemingly straightforward project can become complicated when nobody considers how the different parts fit together.

A website can look impressive and still fail its customers. An ecommerce operation can have thousands of products and still be held back by inaccurate data. A promising business idea can become expensive very quickly if nobody investigates the practicalities first.

That's why I approach projects with both the commercial picture and the working details in mind.

My experience includes managing ecommerce catalogues of more than 5,000 products, building websites and digital tools, working across major ecommerce platforms, developing brands and supporting research, marketing and publishing projects.

That breadth isn't about offering everything to everyone.

It's about recognising which skills a particular problem requires, understanding how the pieces connect and being able to do more than simply identify what needs changing.

And because Dorset Division is independent, you work directly with the person assessing the problem and carrying out the agreed work.

No unnecessary complexity. No recommendations for the sake of it. Just considered decisions and practical delivery.
